Day 23: Something You’ve Seen
I literally just got home a little bit ago from seeing Catching Fire. In case you live under a rock, Catching Fire is the second book in a trilogy called The Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins. Both the first book, The Hunger Games, and the second book, Catching Fire, have been released as movies. Catching Fire just came out in theaters on Thursday and it has been a huge draw for movie goers so far.
I’m a big Hunger Games fan and it was torture not to be able to see the movie the day it came out. Being an adult SUCKS sometimes. Stinking responsibilities…so, I compromised and went to see the movie this afternoon. Worth the wait!
You can certainly tell in this movie compared to the first movie that the budget was higher and, boy, does it pay off. I loved the arena details in Catching Fire and thought the special effects that were lacking or left some room for improvement in The Hunger Games were drastically better in Catching Fire.
All around it was an amazing follow up to The Hunger Games and I would gladly see it again! Can’t wait for Mockingjay.
